College Magazine

In a colourful function, the premier college magazine of Don Bosco College, Sulthan Bathery, affiliated to Calicut University, was released on 6 August 2012. Mr. K K Vijayan, Thahasildhar of Sulthan Bathery Thaluk, released the magazine and gave the first copy to Fr. Raju Philip, the Manager of the college. The magazine based on the theme, “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” is named, Tic Tic Tic.

An Editorial board was constituted to see to the publication of the Magazine. Prof. George Abraham will be the chief Editor of the magazine. The student editor of the magazine was elected by the students during the election. The following personnel were given various responsibilities in the publication of the magazine. Fr. Antony Thekkedath – Staff Editor, Staff Members – Mr. Biju, Mrs. Sathyabhama and Mr. Wilson, Student Members – Anwar, Anvin and  Basil.

The magazine contains poems, essay, drawings and other literary creation of students. It also contains the photos of various events happened during the year. College annual report and the activities of various clubs are also included in the magazine.

The magazine contains youthful thoughts and creative writings and looks attractive with its beautiful design. Everyone was appreciative of the hard work put in to bring out the magazine.

Report of the College Magazine 2012-2013

At the end of every academic year, the college brings out a magazine exhibiting the talents of the students. This year too a magazine was brought out by name “Zero Hour”, which truly reflects the talents of the students.

The Magazine committee composed of the Chief Editor, student editor, sub editors & staff advisors. The following members were in the Editorial board.

The magazine  release was done by Boby Kannezhath, a noted journalist and writer, on 21 August, 2013. The magazine was based on the theme Zero Hour. It was a motivation for the students to “Keep thinking…… Keep Acting……….. and Keep Talking”. The magazine had a colourful look with lot of articles and essays. It also provides a panoramic view of the cultural, academic, sports and literary activities & achievements of the college during that academic year.

All the students were happy to have a copy of the magazine which they can relish all through their life as a memento of their life in Don Bosco College.
